Commercial Lines Account Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a customer service-focused position for an individual who has a strong desire to work directly with property and casualty insurance clients to service their insurance needs. This is a non-exempt full-time position (37.5 – 40 hours per week).
Under the direct supervision of the Commercial Lines Department Manager, a commercial lines account manager is part of a team responsible for servicing new and existing accounts in the commercial insurance department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, AND DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform these essential duties satisfactorily:
Perform account reviews and process insurance policy renewals
Discuss and explain insurance coverage with clients and respond to client needs for policy changes
Take claim information and report claims to insurance carriers
Quote and market new accounts in conjunction with the sales staff
Work collaboratively with the department team to follow processes and procedures of the firm to ensure excellent client service.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
Document client accounts with detailed, accurate information
Organize workflow and process work efficiently
Develop caring and committed relationships with clients and co-workers
Work effectively in a variety of software programs
Stay abreast of industry and carrier changes and products
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Post high school education from a college/university, community college or similar program.
3-5 years insurance industry experience preferred, but not required
Experience with Applied EPIC agency management software or similar platform such as Vertafore AMS 360 preferred
Experience using Microsoft software products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
